Daily Schedule

Forest and Farm Program (Ages 4-7)

Learning with the Land: Farm * Field * Forest

Thursdays and Fridays

9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

First, here are some photos to get us excited! These are vision board photos of what we are wanting to create for our littlest attendees. An art station, a fairy garden, a sand area, a natural obstacle course, a mud kitchen, and so many more ideas swirling around in the heads of myself and the future Lead Facilitator (TBA)!

I'm Interested!

Now for the possible schedule that is a work in progress:

Gathering Time

9:15a-9:30a

Pick-Up Time 1:15p-1:30p

Children will be dropped off during the first times listed into the hands of the Lead Facilitator where they will congregate at the playground area. Those who are late will need to walk their child/ren to the base camp.

The group will also end up back at the playground area for pick-up where the Lead Facilitator will deliver your child/ren into the vehicle and to the person approved for such.

Base Camp

9:30a-10:00a

Playground

1:00p-1:30p

That’s right! Our base camp will be a tipi (spelled the Native American way) similar to this one! (It is from a site who outfitted the movie Dances with Wolves with all their tipis.) The Forest & Farm attendees will walk to the base camp during the first time listed, put up all their belongings into cubbies of some sort, and have a morning activity.

The Forest & Farm attendees will gather their belongings during the second time listed above and walk over to the playground to play until they are picked up.

Free Explorations

10:00a-11:00a

12:00n-1:00p

There will be so much to explore and investigate whether in the natural world, the forest centers, or the activities the Lead Facilitator offers. We want to bring in homesteading offerings, animal care offerings, science offerings, nature, and story offerings to name a few!

Lunch Time &

Story/Activity Time

11:00a-12:00n

This is a time for a lunch break, walking in as a group for a bathroom break, a story time, and a craft activity that goes with it.

*As a side note about bathrooms, there will be a camping potty at the Base Camp with curtain privacy for emergency bathroom needs. There is a full service bathroom at the CLC main building that will be accessed during this time once daily.

**As another side note, with the large tipi as Base Camp, even in inclement weather, the Forest attendees will keep to the outdoors as much as possible. In serious weather events, the CLC will either close or there is also a play area in the main CLC building that can be accessed by the littles.
