Daily Schedule

Forest and Farm Program (Ages 4-7)

Learning with the Land: Farm * Field * Forest

2026-27 Year - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

2- or 3-day option

9:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

First, here are some photos to get us excited! These are vision board photos of what we are wanting to create for our littlest attendees. An art station, a fairy garden, a sand area, a natural obstacle course, a mud kitchen, and so many more ideas swirling around in the heads of myself and the future Lead Facilitator (TBA)!

Now for the possible schedule that is a work in progress:

Gathering Time

9:30a-9:45a

Pick-Up Time 1:30p-1:45p

Children will be dropped off during the first times listed into the hands of the Lead Facilitator where they will congregate at the playground area. Those who are late will need to walk their child/ren to the base camp.

The group will also end up back at the playground area for pick-up where the Lead Facilitator will deliver your child/ren into the vehicle and to the person approved for such.

Base Camp/Morning Circle

9:45a-10:15a

Playground

1:15p-1:45p

That’s right! Our base camp will be a tipi (spelled the Native American way) similar to this one! (It is from a site who outfitted the movie Dances with Wolves with all their tipis.) The Forest & Farm attendees will walk to the base camp during the first time listed, put up all their belongings into cubbies of some sort, and have a morning activity.

The Forest & Farm attendees will gather their belongings during the second time listed above and walk over to the playground to play until they are picked up.

Forest Centers

10:15a-11:00a

12:30p-1:15p

There will be so much to explore and investigate whether in the natural world, the forest centers, or the activities the Lead Facilitator offers. We want to bring in homesteading offerings, animal care offerings, science offerings, nature, and story offerings to name a few!

Indoor Centers or Story Time

11:00a-11:45p

Lunch/Break

11:45a-12:30p

We will share the indoor space with the Junior Program (7-11 yo) by coming in during this time as a group, use the bathroom, enjoy either a learning center option or a story/craft option.

After, there will be a time to choose free time either inside or outside and also do lunch with the Junior group inside.

*As a side note about bathrooms, there will be a camping potty at the Base Camp with curtain privacy for emergency bathroom needs. There is a full service bathroom at the CLC main building that will be accessed during this time once daily.

**As another side note, even in inclement weather, the Forest attendees will have shelter options within the large tipi or the CLC building for continued learning together. In serious weather events, the CLC will send out an email that morning if it will close.
